Following further detailed design and supporting technical work, Bloor Homes now have a greater degree of certainty on the number of residential dwellings that will ultimately be delivered.
On 19th July 2021, Bloor’s appointed groundwork contractors MV Kelly will commence site preparation for the first phase of the consented new homes.
During week commencing 12th July 2021 Bloor Homes appointed landscape contractors Midwest Landscaping will commence selective tree and vegetation clearance as approved by the detailed Phase 1a and Central Parkland planning consents.
The final excavations have now been been undertaken at the former North Worcestershire Golf Course by Worcestershire Archaeology, in advance of its redevelopment by Bloor Homes.
On a short section of tree and vegetation clearance will take place on Frankley Beeches Road in order to facilitate a temporary construction access into the former North Worcestershire Golf Course.
During early February 2021 Worcestershire Archaeology will return to the former Golf Course to complete their excavation and recording of the former World War II anti-aircraft gun emplacements on the site.
Further habitat enhancement on the former Golf Course will be undertaken over one week during February 2021.
Further ecological enhancement works will commence on site during early October in order to create and establish habitats in readiness for the forthcoming new homes and the extensive areas of public open space.
A programme of selective arboriculture work will be undertaken from 5th – 9th October on roads surrounding the former North Worcestershire Golf Course.

In accordance with a Written Scheme of Investigation as required by Condition 14 of the outline planning consent, a programme of archaeological investigation work will take place within the site during February.
